The Folded Flag Foundation Awards More Than $1.8 Million in Educational Scholarships for the 2018-19 School Year

Today, The Folded Flag Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to honoring America’s fallen heroes by providing their families with financial support for education, announced it has awarded more than $1.8 million in scholarships to 205 recipients for the 2018-19 school year.

The Folded Flag Foundation’s mission is to provide educational scholarships and grants to the children and spouses of U.S. military and government personnel who have died as a result of hostile action or in an accident related to U.S. combat operations.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Dec. 13, 2017 – The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, a non-profit organization that serves as the primary charitable link between the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team and the Las Vegas community, held its inaugural Salute to Service Gala on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017. The gala raised more than $775,000 for The Folded Flag Foundation and other Southern Nevada military and first responder non-profits.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 7, 2017) – Celebrating the courageous sacrifices of the nation’s active and veteran service members, O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar and its 200+ restaurants across 17 states have raised more than $130,000 for The Folded Flag Foundation this year as part of the company’s annual partnership with the organization. Providing scholarships and educational grants to the families of fallen soldiers, The Folded Flag Foundation this year has been able to honor 138 scholarship recipients— with donations from O’Charley’s restaurants and guests playing a substantial role in investing in these recipients’ futures.
