The Folded Flag Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization focusing on raising and awarding money in the form of educational grants to surviving family members of military and government employees who have lost their lives in combat while serving our country, is pleased to announce it has awarded 12 grants in its inaugural award campaign, totaling more than $135,000 in educational assistance.
The Folded Flag Foundation was established earlier this year by businessman Bill Foley to help supplement the death benefits paid to the families of our bravest heroes. As a West Point graduate and U.S. Air Force veteran, Foley has a deep appreciation of and shares a camaraderie with the men and women of the U.S. armed forces.
Because Black Knight Financial Services, LLC and ServiceLink, LLC fund all administrative, operational and marketing costs for the organization, 100 percent of all donations made to the Folded Flag Foundation will benefit families in need.
“The brave men and women who defend our country put their lives on the line every day,” said Foley. “And when those men and women pay the ultimate price – by sacrificing their lives to keep us free – the family members they leave behind often struggle to afford to pay school or college expenses. The Folded Flag Foundation is honored to offer these educational grants and scholarships to families of our fallen heroes so that the education of their spouses and children can be a legacy worthy of their heroic sacrifice.”
