The purpose of the Foundation website is to provide information on and facilitate participation in the Foundation’s mission. To that end, the Foundation collects personally identifiable information to facilitate support of and participation in the Foundation’s programs, including its scholarship program. We may collect the following information from you:
- Contact information including address, phone number and email address
- Additional information, such as Social Security number, date of birth, marital status, as well as employment, school enrollment, income and familial information, may be collected for scholarship applicants in order to confirm eligibility for their participation in the Folded Flag Foundation scholarship program.
What We Do With the Information We Collect
We require this information for one or more of the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping
- To facilitate participation in our programs and to provide services to you
- To improve our programs and services
Under no circumstances will the Folded Flag Foundation share information gathered with any third party organization.

The Foundation is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to secuire the information we collect.
Information From Children
We do not collect personal information from any person that we know to be under the age of thirteen (13). Specifically, the Foundation website is not intended for children under the age of thirteen (13) that are unaccompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian. While we welcome the interest of children under the age of thirteen (13) in the Folded Flag Foundation scholarship program, the Foundation requires that a parent or guardian complete and submit the scholarship forms on behalf of the child. Personal information provided on the scholarship forms will not be used for any other purpose.
You should be aware that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected by the Foundation website through the use of “cookies.” A cookie is a small text file which helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. The Foundation reserves the right to use and to disclose personal information and/or non-personal information as required by law and when we believe tha use or disclosure is necessary to protect against liability, investigate and defend against any third-party claims or allegations, assist government enforcement agencies, protect the security or integrity of the website, and protect the rights, property or personal safety of the Foundation, our users or others.
