National Spouses Day, observed each year on Jan. 26, is a day dedicated to recognizing spouses all over the world.

Today, we would like to pay special tribute and recognition to the surviving spouses who had a loved one die while defending our country and freedom.

Did you know that since 2001, nearly 10,000 men and women have died in the combat zone, leaving behind thousands of spouses and children?

These men and women have already lost so much. That is why The Folded Flag Foundation has made it our mission to help surviving spouses and children by providing them scholarships and grants to help cover all educational costs from K-12 and beyond.

In 2018, we awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships 205 recipients. 22 of those scholarships were awarded to spouses.

If you are interested in making a donation to help fund educational expenses for a surviving spouse or child, please visit our website here.
